The "Family Ties" exhibition includes installation, photography, painting, ceramics, and video by six artists and faculty from the United States.
The exhibit participants include Lisa Marie Barber from Kenosha, Wisconsin, Zachary Horn from Boston, Massachusetts, Gabi Magaly from San Antonio, Texas, Jeanette May from Brooklyn, New York, Marshall Sharpe from Edwardsville, Illinois and Katie Virag, from Buffalo, New York.
The exhibition explores connections between the idea of family. Subject matter includes bonds between direct and multi-generational relationships. In addition to imagined or unimagined ideas of home or family, uncovered secrets in the family tree, or personal artifacts, consumer products linking generations, and the documentation of daily family life as a testament to descendants.
