Family ties: Group Exhibition

The "Family Ties" exhibition includes installation, photography, painting, ceramics, and video by six artists and faculty from the United States. 

The exhibit participants include Lisa Marie Barber, residing in Kenosha, Wisconsin; Zachary Horn, residing in Boston, Massachusetts; Gabi Magaly, residing in San Antonio, Texas; Jeanette May, residing in Brooklyn, New York; Marshall Sharpe, Edwardsville Illinois; and Katie Virag, residing in Buffalo, New York. 

The exhibition explores connections between the idea of family. Subject matter includes bonds between direct and multi-generational relationships, imagined or unimagined conceptions of home or family, uncovered secrets in the family tree, personal artifacts and consumer products linking generations, and the documentation of day-to-day family life as a testament to past lineal descent.  
 

Fall gallery hours are Monday through Wednesday, 10 am to 5 pm, Thursday, 10 am to 7 pm, and Saturday, 12 pm  to 2 pm.

To find the gallery, we suggest using the M6 parking lot on the north corner of campus. Enter through door X-7, turn left, and follow the ramps up to the highest point of the first floor, where the gallery is located. The gallery windows overlook the outdoor fountain area. Face coverings are recommended.
