COVID-19: Campus UPDATE
Go ahead. Explore.
Parkland offers a wealth of options for personal enrichment, online
general education courses, or even core courses that you might want to
take over the summer.
Parkland College offers hundreds of classes each semester in a multitude of formats including online, evening, and hybrid sections.
Parkland's Center for Academic Success in Room D120 is the one-stop learning assistance center for students. We provide peer-tutoring, a writing lab staffed by English faculty, study skills training, and other services.
The Parkland College Bookstore offers all the books and supplies you will need for your classes plus Parkland apparel and laptops.
Find the class you are interested in taking from the class schedule. Personal and professional development opportunities, ranging from career-enhancing workshops to educational travel, youth programs, and personal enrichment classes, are available through our Business Training and Community Education department.
If you are still a high school or home-schooled student taking our classes, please start the process with Dual Credit.
To take classes at Parkland College, you must fill out an application. You should apply as a non-degree-seeking student. The courses will be for credit, but you won’t be eligible for financial aid in that status. More information on your choices is available at Enrollment Options.
Once you have applied, we will send you email on how to set up your Parkland College student accounts. E-tools is a great place to start if you need more help with that process.
To take a class at Parkland, we need to verify that you have met the prerequisite for the class. Often, this can be done by emailing unofficial transcripts or test scores to email@example.com. University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign students should follow the concurrent enrollment process.
If you have not completed the prerequisite for the class, you may be asked to take an assessment test. Learn more about that process at the Assessment Center page.
If accommodations are needed:
If you have been diagnosed with a disability and would like testing accommodations, please let us know so we may assist you. Learn more on our Accessibility Services page.
As long as you have met the prerequisites for the class, you should be able to register on your own. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions.
View tuition deadlines here. We also offer a tuition payment plan.
