Earn college credits while still in high school!

Early College programs give students the opportunity to take college classes while still in high school! Get a head start on college and save time and money, all while gaining early college experience. Students can take general education classes or get started on career and certificate programs.

What early college options are available?

  • Dual Credit allows eligible students to take parkland College courses earning credit toward a specialized certification, associate degree, or bachelors degree and simultaneously earn credit toward high school graduation requirements.
  • Dual Enrollment is nearly the same as dual credit, however dual enrollment does not reciprocate credit at the high school level. Dual Enrollment students can take courses on the Parkland College campus or online.
  • Early College and Career Academy gives junior and senior students the opportunity to earn dual credit while exploring one of ten career paths while taking classes on the Parkland College campus.
