Go ahead. Find your path.
With over 100+ degrees and certificates, Parkland College offers
countless ways to maximize your previous courses and get you going in
the right direction.
It's the best way to find out if Parkland College is the right fit for you. We offer special event days where you can get general info about the college, take a tour, and ask questions. One-on-one visits can also be a great choice to explore your options.
From science and tech to arts and humanities, plus everything in between, you'll find professors who know your name and the learning support you need. Check out the academic possibilities.
The Parkland College Learning Commons is the one-stop learning assistance center for students. We provide peer-tutoring, a writing lab staffed by English faculty, study skills training, and more.
To take classes at Parkland College, you must fill out an application. If you plan to earn a degree at Parkland and want to be eligible for financial aid, it's important to choose a program of study. If you just want to take a few classes for personal enrichment, check out this page.
Please have your official high school transcript, GED, or other high school equivalency transcript sent to Parkland College. If applicable, also have official transcripts mailed from any colleges you have attended. Institutions may also send transcripts electronically through any of the major exchange networks. Currently, we are accepting transcripts directly from the student as unofficial, but you will need official final high school transcripts to receive financial aid. Please email all documents to Admissions@parkland.edu.
Looking for help to pay for classes? Visit our Financial Aid page for information on grants and scholarships.
Once you have applied, we'll send you email on how to set up your Parkland College student accounts. E-tools is a great place to start if you need more help with that process.
Once we have all your previous college work, Academic Advising can sit down with you and review what classes will transfer to which programs. For summer and fall 2020 enrollment, students will work online with their academic advisor to set up their schedule at Advising.
We recommend that all returning or incoming students meet with an academic advisor to select a class schedule. Contact an academic advisor to set up that appointment. Find registration information here.
Parkland offers academic accommodations for students with documented disabilities. If you are in need of accommodations, please contact Accessibility Services at 217/353-2338.
View tuition deadlines here. An installment plan for tuition is available at our payment plan page.
