What is Academic Advising?

How to Meet with an Advisor
Academic advising at Parkland is mainly accomplished through scheduled appointments. To make an advising appointment, click on Appointment Scheduling. You can indicate on the form when you make the appointment if you would like to meet virtually through Microsoft Teams or in-person on campus in U-267. Limited walk-in meetings are available in U267 on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
Questions can be sent to your specific academic success advisor or to AcademicAdvising@parkland.edu from your Parkland student email account. The Advising
Services team is committed to responding to your questions and will
respond to your email during regular business hours. To better serve
you, please avoid sending multiple emails.
Students should meet with an academic success advisor who specializes
in their academic area. Please go to the
Appointment Scheduling page to
learn more about the different areas of interest and determine which
area best suits your academic goals.
