Business Enterprise Program (BEP)

Parkland College recognizes the importance of increasing the participation of businesses owned by minorities, females, and persons with disabilities in public contracts. Consistent with the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities Act, 30 ILCS 575 (the "Act"), Parkland College is committed to fostering and encouraging the continued economic development of minority owned businesses, female owned businesses, and businesses owned by a person with a disability.

To promote the economic development of businesses owned by minorities, females, and persons with disabilities, the College has adopted the policy consisting of aspirational goals and percentages to award contracts as set forth in the Act. Parkland College's policy can be found in our Policies and Procedures Manual (Policy 6.01.01).

Only Illinois Certified vendors are recognized by the College's Business Enterprise Program. We encourage all qualifying businesses to apply for certification. Information on becoming a certified vendor and the Business Enterprise Program can be found on the Illinois Department of Central Management Services website.
