Professional academic advisors and counselors are available to explain the requirements of Parkland's many programs and assist in decision-making related to the following:
  • Selecting semester courses
  • Planning a program of study
  • Preparing for transfer
  • Setting goals for future learning
  • Finding academic support resources 
 
How to meet with an advisor:
  • Walk-ins:
    Monday and Thursday: 8 am to 3 pm and 5 to 6:30 pm
    Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8 am to 3 pm
    > Sign in at the front desk in A251. Walk-ins will be seen on a first come, first served basis.

  • Schedule an appointment:
    Monday and Thursday: 3 pm to 6:30 pm
    Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 3 pm to 4 pm
    > Call 217/351-2219 to schedule a 30-minute appointment. You can make this appointment up to a week ahead and may request a particular advisor or counselor. Please check in at the front desk when you come for your appointment.
