Ongoing LEAP student support group

Are issues or behaviors like anxiety, relationship problems, procrastination, grief, substance abuse, depression, or low self-esteem affecting your success in college? LEAP (Linking Education and People) is a free, drop-in, confidential support group for any Parkland student living with these and other mental health-related issues that impede school achievement. While not a therapy group, LEAP can be your resource for developing more effective coping skills and strategies. It might be a place to meet new friends who experience similar concerns.

The group meets Wednesdays from 12 noon to 12:50 p.m in room B129.; you may bring your lunch. For more information and/or to schedule a brief screening appointment, contact Dennis Cockrum in Counseling and Advising at 217-353-2254 or dcockrum@parkland.edu.
