Welcome to Parkland College! If you need help with any of these steps, please contact the Tech Service Desk or visit their KnowledgeBase at kb.parkland.edu.

Loanable Technology, including laptops, are available through the Learning Commons.

Online resources should be activated in the order listed below.

ParklandOne Account

Your ParklandOne account is your username, password, and multifactor authentication (MFA). Your ParklandOne sign on is your entry point to all online resources, Parkland Wi-Fi, email, and your student records.

  • Once you receive your “Welcome to Parkland College” and “Temporary Password” email messages from Admissions, please go to login.parkland.edu to set up your account. It is best to do this prior to signing onto a Parkland machine at the start of term.
  • Your temporary password can only be used for the purpose of setting up your account and will not work for accessing Parkland systems.
  • Please see ParklandOne – Set Up Your Account for screen shots and detailed instructions. Please do not select "Biometric Authenticator" for your 2-factor authentication as not all hardware and apps support it. Okta Verify is the recommended factor.
  • Never received your temporary password from Admissions? No problem. Visit the KnowledgeBase for information on how to set up your account without it.
  • Once your ParklandOne account is set up and you are signed into login.parkland.edu, you will see all the applications available to you, including the resources listed below. This is referred to as your “Apps Dashboard.”
  • Your ParklandOne account and access to Parkland systems will remain active for two years beyond non-enrollment.

Self-Service for Students

Self-Service allows a student to register for classes, see their class schedule, check financial aid, pay tuition, and see grades. Navigate to selfserv.parkland.edu/student or click on Self Service in the upper left of Connect.

Parkland Student Email Account

You will use your student email account to keep in contact with your instructors, receive information from Admissions and Financial Aid, and receive important campus-wide announcements. Access via go.parkland.edu/email or click on Student Email in the upper left of Connect

Cobra Learning

Cobra Learning is Parkland’s web-based learning space for both online and in-person courses. Course material won't be available until one day before the class begins. Access Cobra Learning at cobra.parkland.edu or click on Cobra Learning in the upper left of Connect.

  • After logging in to Cobra, please review the Learning Commons Resources widget located in the right column of the homepage. Of note is the Cobra Connection orientation resource which assists students with navigating the Cobra system.

Connect

Connect is the name of the student portal and it is your one-stop source for all things Parkland including important announcements, news, events, and every resource you will need during your time as a student. Visit connect.parkland.edu and start exploring.

Microsoft 365 Applications

Students have access to Microsoft 365 online and can also install the Microsoft 365 application suite on up to five personal devices for free. Please navigate to go.parkland.edu/office.

  • You will be presented with a service called Copilot which is Microsoft's AI chat-bot. To access all other web-based Microsoft 365 apps such as Word, Excel, and Teams, click Apps on the left side of the screen.
  • You can also opt to install Microsoft Office by clicking on the Install apps button on the top right of the Apps screen. Please note the full suite can only be installed on Windows and macOS devices, not Chromebooks.
  • For detailed instructions and screenshots, please see Microsoft 365 - Installing or Accessing Online.
