International F-1 Student Financial Requirements

All applicants for an F-1 student visa must provide proof of financial means to pay for education and living expenses.  Below is a list of estimated expenses to determine how much money you will need to have available to attend Parkland College.

Estimated expenses for nine months (one academic year) of attendance:

Tuition and fees, full time enrollment ($529 per credit hour) $15,870
Living expenses (Housing, food, transportation)  $ 7,300
Books, educational supplies $  1,500
Total (reported on the Form I20) $24,670

As an international student, you are required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) agency to provide documented evidence of your financial resources for the first full academic year (9 months/2 semesters) before Parkland College can issue a Form I-20 (application for F-1 student status) to you.

Bills for tuition and fees are created at the time of class registration each term (fall, spring, and summer). Payment instructions will be included with your bill.
