Remote Career Advising

You are currently able to set career advising appointments (SWFT Career Advising Sessions) with the career advisor via SWFT Bookings, which can be accessed by clicking here.  Career advising sessions focus on assisting you with identifying career opportunities, as well as facilitating your understanding of effective ways to land the job you are seeking.

You can follow these steps to setting up career advising appointments:

  • Visit the SWFT Bookings page using the ("clicking here") link shown here or above
  • Find an open time and schedule an advising session with the SWFT Career Advisor
  • Read the confirmation email for your scheduled advising session for additional instructions

Remote advising sessions will take place using Microsoft Teams.  You can access and use Microsoft Teams for free by visiting this website (https://teams.microsoft.com), or if you click here.  Once there, you will log in using your Parkland email credentials.  Advising sessions will be available at the time you schedule using Bookings.  Live appointment availability will resume once students and faculty are able to return to the Parkland College campus.

Academic Advising

You may also want to connect for assistance with questions about your courses and related content.  The Center for Academic Success (CAS) has academic coaches, tutoring options, and other academic support resources available to you for free.  You should visit the CAS Bookings site to arrange an appointment, which can be found by clicking here.  To see a more complete list of CAS offerings, please click here.

Career Advising Session Preparation
