Civil Rights Protections

American with Disabilities Act (ADA)

General Information
The American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other laws require that educational programs are accessible for individuals with disabilities. Parkland College has supports, services, and policies to meet this requirement. If someone with a disability who is otherwise qualified to participate in the program feels that they have not had access to college programs or services, they should first work with their assigned Accessibility Services Specialist in an interactive process with relevant members of the college community. If it is not resolved, then people may file a grievance so the situation can be investigated and resolved. Please visit the Accessibility Services webpage for more information.

Reporting Disability Related Grievances
If a person with a disability who is otherwise qualified to participate and benefit from a college program believes they have not been able to access college programs and would like to file a formal written grievance this should be submitted on the ADA Grievance Form.
