Flu Clinic

Parkland College Human Resources & Wellness Center are pleased to offer a FREE drive thru flu clinic to all faculty, staff, students, and the community. The flu shots are available to anyone 6 months of age and older.

The Japanese American Experience in WWII 

Thursday, September 29 at noon in D105.

The Japanese Culture Club has invited Mari Yamagiwa, Program Coordinator at the New Breath Foundation, to give a presentation to the Parkland College community on the Japanese-American experience in the U.S. during World War II. 

More than 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry were forcibly incarcerated by the US government during WWII. Mari Yamagiwa, a 4th-generation Japanese American and descendant of WWII incarcerees, will give a presentation on the experience of Japanese American citizens during WWII.
