Where Will You Go?
Our paramedic certificate (15-month, 29 credit hour) and Associate of Applied Science (60 credit hour) degree program offer the most advanced level of training for the EMT at an affordable cost. We also offer a 5 credit hour Basic EMT certificate that prepares you to provide vital care to the sick or injured.
After successfully completing the state-approved course, you are eligible to sit for the Illinois EMT-Basic Certification exam or the EMS: Paramedic and National Paramedic exam; the average pass rates for the exams are 97% and 100%, respectively. Work for emergency medical services, hospitals, or police/fire departments. Advance to supervisor, operations manager, administrative director, or executive director of emergency services, or become an instructor at community colleges or training centers, with further training.
