Current Parkland students are eligible for the following instructional and support services, all of which are offered free and on a walk-in basis:
Academic Development Lab (ADL)
The ADL has a computer lab with a study area that is designed for students in developmental courses: CCS 098 and 099, ENG 098 and 099, and MAT 059 through 098. Sue Jones, our Academic Development Specialist can help students with assignments and learn how to use Cobra Learning, ALEKS, my.parkland, Microsoft 365 apps and more. We provide academic support to students with learning disabilities or learn differently. We have assistive technology such as Kurzweil and JAWS Windows Screen Reader.
Assessment test preparation resources are available.
Pick up a Grab and Go study snack from our snack pantry!
Summer Hours: Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m on campus and online
Trained peer tutors, carefully chosen based on their academic performance, previous experience, and interest in helping others, will help you with math (all levels), physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, accounting, business, economics, Spanish, and more.

Writing faculty work with students on any writing assignment at any stage of the writing process. Students are invited to use Writing Lab computers for writing assignments and to consult with Lab faculty. Parkland employees can also use this free service.

School Supplies Pantry!
- Free notebooks, pens and pencils, highlighters, and other school supplies are available to students in the Writing Lab.
