TEAS Test of Essential Academic Skills for Parkland Nursing program applicants only
(Note: taking the TEAS does not guarantee acceptance into the nursing program.)
The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is required for Parkland College Nursing Program applicants to asses skills in four academic areas: reading, math, science, and English language usage.
TEAS testing is offered by appointment only in September and February. Testing fee is $35/per test. The test is a 3.5 hour multiple-choice test and administered on the computer. Results are available immediately and will indicate scores in each area plus give you a composite (average) score.
The maximum number of times that any student can take the TEAS for admission purposes is twice during a twelve-month period.
Parkland College uses TEAS version V. Please be sure to buy the study guides or practice tests for TEAS V only.
No calculators are allowed for TEAS.
All test-takers are required to show a valid photo ID that includes a signature.
Call 217/351-2432 or stop by the Assessment Center to schedule a testing appointment or for more information.
