Deceased, Disabled and MIA/POW Scholarship

Spouses and dependents of an Illinois veteran who was missing in action, a prisoner of war, or was 100% totally and permanently disabled due to the service may be eligible for this benefit. This benefit covers tuition and mandatory fees (activity fee, registration fee, facility, and technology fee) for up to four years of full-time use.  Course fees are not covered by this benefit. More Information

Illinois National Guard Grant

Members of the Illinois National Guard may be eligible for this benefit. It pays tuition and eligible fees (Activity fee, registration fee, facility fee, technology fee) for up to four years full-time or 120 units. Course fees are not covered by this benefit. More Information

Post 9/11 GI Bill / Chapter 33

Individuals who served active-duty in the military after September 10, 2001 may be eligible for this benefit. Spouses and dependents may also qualify under special circumstances. The benefit pays tuition and mandatory fees, a book stipend, and a housing stipend based on the percentage the student is eligible for. Students may be eligible for benefits for up to 36 months of full-time use. More Information

Survivor/Dependent Benefits- Chapter 35

Survivors and dependents of a veteran who was killed in action, missing in action, or a prisoner of war may qualify for this benefit. The benefit pays a living stipend to the student for up to 45 months of full time use. More Information

Montgomery GI Bill/ Chapter 30 and Selected Reserve GI Bill/Chapter 1606

Veterans, Guardsmen, and Reservists may be eligible for this benefit which provides a living stipend to the student for up to 36 months of full time use. More Information

Veterans with a service-connected disability may be eligible for this benefit. It pays for tuition and fees, books and supplies, and provides a living stipend for up to 48 months of full time use. More Information
