Board of Trustees Scholarship

New Students

Starting with new students beginning Fall 2024, the Parkland College Board of Trustees Scholarship will cover 100% of full-time tuition and fees (excluding Aviation fees). This scholarship is awarded to the top 10 percent of graduating seniors from each high school in Parkland’s district (District 505). Students must attend Parkland full-time immediately after graduation from high school. This scholarship will cover tuition and fees for a maximum of two consecutive years (including two summer terms).

Application process

There is not a separate application to be considered as a BOT scholar. Recipients are recommended by high school principals or guidance counselors. Parkland will send information to students who have been recommended as being in the top 10% of their class. The deadline to accept the offer is June 1.

Next steps:

  • High school seniors complete and submit the admissions application by going to Parkland Application
  • Complete the FAFSA: open by December 31, 2023
  • Send final high school transcripts to Parkland College

Requirements:

Students receiving the BOT scholarship must maintain a 3.0 GPA and complete a minimum of 24 semester hours each academic year. Students must register as a full-time student each fall and spring semester.
