Parkland College Foundation Recognizes 2018 Distinguished Alumna and Honorary Degree Recipient
Greg Cozad is named the 2018 Honorary Degree Recipient
Greg grew up in Champaign, graduated with distinction from Indiana University and went on to receive both law and masters of business administration degrees from Notre Dame.Greg is also a proud alumnus of Parkland College, having taken classes during a summer of his undergraduate degree from Indiana University.
Greg has been instrumental in the success of the Parkland College Entrepreneur of the year program that provides program support and scholarships for students.Greg’s vision has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for this program. At our annual Parkland College Foundation Entrepreneur of the Year banquet, we recognize an individual or family who demonstrate the best traits of entrepreneurship, including willingness to take risk, drive and perseverance.This award is presented in honor of V. Dale Cozad, Greg’s late father, who was a highly respected business man and philanthropist in Champaign.
Greg has followed in his father’s footsteps and is the CEO of Cozad Asset Management which provides the highest quality professional and personalized financial service throughout the country.
Greg is very involved in our community volunteering for several organizations, serving on boards and mentoring future entrepreneurs.
Kelly Loschen is named the 2018 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year
Kelly Loschen graduated from Parkland College in 1998 with an Associate's degree in business administration after receiving the Parkland presidential scholarship (now the Board of Trustees scholarship), awarded to the top 10 percent of high school graduates in the area. Kelly went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois.
Kelly worked as a CPA for 16 years with the Champaign firm Martin Hood LLC, before moving to her current position as Senior Vice President and CFO at Farm Credit Illinois.
Kelly is a director on the Foundation Board and serves on the finance committee.
Parkland College Visits Alumni in the DC Area

The Parkland College Foundation, along with the Parkland College Trustees and Administrators hosted an event for local DC alumni while visiting the area for a conference. Great success stories and great discussion were held with both alumni and legislators on the importance of Parkland for District 505.
