how to apply

 

To participate in the Dual Credit / Dual Enrollment program, talk to your guidance counselor or principal about the program and the course(s) you'd like to take or call our office at 217/353-2663.

 

If you plan to enroll in a course offered at Parkland College or online:

Submit a Parkland College Application for Admission as a NON_DEGREE SEEKING STUDENT.

(If you have taken courses at Parkland before, you do not need to complete the Parkland College Application for Admission).

Fill out the Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Program Application.

The application must be signed by you, your parent/guardian, and your guidance counselor or principal.

Submit completed paperwork to the dual credit office, Room U 233 at Parkland College

  • Dual Credit/Enrollment Program Application
  • High school transcript
  • ACT, SAT, or AP scores, if applicable
  • Complete Parkland assessments, if applicable.

We can tell you whether the course you choose requires assessment testing and will schedule the testing if necessary. Your ACT. SAT, or AP scores may exempt you from the assessment process.


If you plan to enroll in a course offered at your home high school:

Submit a Parkland College Application for Admission as a NON_DEGREE SEEKING STUDENT.

(If you have taken courses at Parkland before, you do not need to complete the Parkland College Application for Admission).

See your high school guidance counselor or principal for instructions on how to apply for a course offered at your high school.

Submit qualifying ACT, SAT, or AP scores to be exempt from placement testing. Otherwise, complete Parkland assessments, if applicable.

We can tell you whether the course you choose requires assessment testing and will schedule the testing if necessary. Your ACT, SAT, or AP scores may exempt you from the assessment process.


If you are a home school student and plan to enroll in a course offered at Parkland College or online:

Submit a Parkland College Application for Admission as a NON_DEGREE SEEKING STUDENT.

(If you have taken courses at Parkland before, you do not need to complete the Parkland College Application for Admission).

Fill out the Home School Enrollment Application.

The application must be signed by you and a parent or guardian.
