Jonathan Westfield

Jonathan Westfield of Savoy, Illinois, was appointed by the Parkland College Board of Trustees in October 2017 to replace a resigning member. The Urbana, Illinois, native is a retired officer with the Champaign Police Department, having served 20 years in law enforcement.

Mr. Westfield is a former resource officer for the Champaign Unit 4 school district, for which he also served two years as a school board member. His past work with the area's youth includes implementing programs such as the Youth Police Academy, Police 101, Gangs 101, as well as antibullying initiatives.

A graduate of the University of Illinois, Mr. Westfield serves as coordinator of the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission's Youth Assessment Center, the county's juvenile diversion program. 

The father of three is dedicated to providing positive role models and direction for at-risk and disadvantaged youth, partnering with local agencies to provide such valuable resources.
