Transcultural Nursing Summer Study in Quito, Ecuador

Enjoy the academic and cultural learning opportunities of the city Quito and the rain forest. While health care is the primary focus of the program the trip also includes cultural activities such as visits to the Equator, Presidential Palace, local markets, medicinal hikes to the rain forest and more.

  • Two weeks in Quito and the rain forest of Ecuador
  • Earn college credits with instruction in English
  • Learn about Ecuador's health care system and culture
  • Participate first-hand the health services in Ecuador
  • Explore and improve your inter-cultural competency
  • Exchange cultural perspectives with local people

Estimated Program Costs
: $2,900. Includes:
  • Round trip airfare to Ecuador
  • Lodging at a modest hotel and cabanas
  • Meals
  • Airport and local transportation between the sites
  • Admission fees for academic and cultural visits
  • Health/emergency assistance insurance

Participant Eligibility
Student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours, including ENG 101, with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75.
