Gregory J. Knott

Gregory Knott was first elected as a Parkland College trustee in 2011 and was re-elected to a second term in 2017. A Parkland College alum with an AAS in Agri-Marketing, he also has a BS in Agri-Business from Illinois State University, an MBA from the University of Illinois Springfield, and a Master in Library Science degree from the University of Illinois.

From 2000 to 2011, Mr. Knott served on the Champaign County Board. He is active in Scouting, serving as a leader for St. Joseph Troop 40 and Venturing Crew 40. He earned the Eagle Scout rank in 1981. Additionally, he is a board member for the Parkland College Foundation.

Mr. Knott and his wife Brooke have two children, Riley and Hayden. Riley and Hayden are the eighth generation of their family to live in Champaign County.

Mr. Knott currently works at the University of Illinois as the assistant dean of university libraries. Additionally, he is actively involved in the agricultural community as a Farm Bureau member and the operator of a small farm.
