NEED A WAY TO KEEP TRACK OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS?

Here’s a quick guide.
 

For Admission Consideration, students must complete the following checklist
☐ Submit an application to Parkland. Priority Deadline for Fall Admission is March 1 and Deadline for Spring Admissions is October 1
☐ Send your official high school/college transcripts to Parkland
☐ Current University of Illinois students: Complete concurrent enrollment form
☐ Apply for financial aid
☐ International students: Complete TSA screening
☐ Get ready to fly!

For Medical Exam
☐ Go to FAA MEDXPRESS
☐ Create an account and complete the application
☐ Answer the survey questions (this is basically an application for your pilot certificate)
☐ Take your assigned code to the physician (they’ll use that code to look up your info)
☐ Provide a copy of your medical certificate to your Parkland advisor. The medical certificate must be received before you may register for aviation courses.

For Assessments
☐ Admitted students may need to take assessments exams before registering for courses
☐ Send ACT/SAT scores to Parkland College if you will to use those in lieu of assessment exams (scores must be less 24 months from your high school graduation date)
☐ You must place into MAT 072 or higher and be eligible for ENG 101
☐ To learn more or schedule an appointment see parkland.edu/assessment
☐ If needed, contact Accessibility Services at 217.353.2338 for testing accommodations.

For TSA Clearance & Student Pilot Certificate (Driver's license to fly)
☐ Bring Driver license and original birth certificate or valid passport to appointment first day of class
☐ International students: Complete finger printing arranged by Institute of Aviation
☐ International students: Provide a copy of a valid passport and current visa/permanent citizenship verification.
