Costume Shop
Parkland College’s Costume Shop is outfitted for both academic labs and professional productions.   We maintain a 10,000 piece costume inventory, used to costume in-house productions as well as to rent out to other local theatres. The Costume Shop has sewing stations where students can learn the proper techniques for creating, constructing and repairing costumes. Contact us for information on costume rentals.

Our 1,400 sq. ft.  Scenic Studio is equipped with the best commercial grade wood working gear.  Along with our traditional wood working tools we have a Shopbot 48” x 96” CNC Router table to make complex 2d and 3d scenic elements.  The equipment and methods used in the shop are similar to major scenic studios around the country.



PARKLAND COLLEGE THEATRE

Parkland is home of the Harold and Jean Miner Theatre and the Second Stage.  These versatile spaces provide a home for Parkland Theatre Productions and serves as a premier training facility for actors and theatre technicians.  Each venue features state of the art professional technical equiptment in lighting and sound.

Our multiple entrance lobby welcomes visitors and provides easy accessibility to our performance venues. The lobby also serves as a versatile reception area.

is a proscenium theatre with seating for over 300, provides a beautiful setting for music and theatre productions that range from comedies to Broadway-style musicals to serious contemporary plays, and is the performance home of Parkland College Theatre productions.

 

  

Parkland's Second Stage Theatre


Parkland Theatre's Second Stage

is a black box style theater. It is a versatile, unadorned performance space where seating can be arranged in a variety of configurations depending on the creative needs of the performance or event. The Second Stage is available for meetings, speeches, lectures, live music, dance, and other events. Seating capacity is approximately 100 people.
