Hire an Apprentice

As a forward-thinking employer, you understand the importance of developing a skilled and motivated workforce. With a Parkland apprenticeship program, you can actively participate in shaping the future of your industry by nurturing talented individuals and guiding them towards excellence.

Why a work-based learning model?

Changing how we on-board and train new employees is critical as younger employees enter the workforce with different views on working than their older colleagues.

Knowing that Americans spend 1/3 of their lives at work, the generation entering the workforce is passionate about the experiences life has to offer—all of the experiences every day, including those at work.

Work-based learning (WBL) is the ultimate workplace experience bringing together mentoring from an experienced colleague, on-the-job training in a paid position, and classroom training specifically selected by the employer.

Make it your own. We’ll help.

Highly customizable, the employer defines the position, salary, and training plan, as well as assigning a mentor and education components. Parkland provides expertise from our experienced faculty and staff members to assist employers each step of the way in developing a WBL model.

Mentor training is paramount to the success of a WBL program.

Supporting a new employee as they navigate company culture, learn new systems, and start a new career path develops loyalty and trust and sets the tone for the individual’s future with the employer. Parkland stands ready to provide training and support to new and experienced mentors to ensure the success of each WBL program.
