"continuously exceeding our expectations"

"We continue to use Parkland for our training needs due to the responsiveness of the training center staff. We never have to wait for answers to when, what, where, or who will accommodate us. The program always fill our needs and makes sure the outcome is what we have asked for. We plan to continue using Parkland for our needs."
– Debbie White, Dart Container

"BRG Sports has developed an invaluable partnership with Parkland College [Community Education] for the professional development of BRG Sports and our employees. Over the last few years, whether through customized safety training, team building seminars or on-site Microsoft Suite training, the demonstrated commitment of the Parkland staff ensures our goals and objectives are continuously exceeding our expectations."

Six Sigma

"The training we received through Parkland for Six Sigma was again a success for the Herff Jones Cap and Gown Division. Our continuous improvement program has yielded over 40 projects and $1 million in savings since its inception in 2009. We have successfully partnered with Parkland College, and have benefited greatly from the ETIP grant programs they have assisted us with.

This year, we had another excellent group of Green Belt students from both our Arcola and Champaign facilities. We estimate savings in the $100,000 range annually for the projects that the students have worked on. The Arcola plant was able to work on a project to reduce the amount of returns we receive, thereby decreasing costs associated with processing returns, and decreasing carrying costs of inventory. The Champaign plant worked to increase efficiency and productivity in order fulfillment in the Hood department, reducing lead times to our customers, and decreasing carrying costs of inventory.

As the pressure grows from our customers to provide our product with shorter lead times at the best possible price, the culture of continuous improvement becomes a necessity to get better at what we do. We are thankful for the help and support of Parkland through the ETIP program in assisting us towards furthering the continuous improvement movement."
– Phil Reid, Plant Manager Cap and Gown Division

"I consider Parkland College [Community Education] to be an important ally in Christie Clinic’s training initiatives. They have met our needs in a variety of areas, from medical terminology to leadership training. Steve Welland is a phenomenal trainer with loads of real-world experience that he brings to the classroom. Our team members have found tremendous benefit from attending his classes and continue to rave about the quality of his courses and their applicability in the work environment. I appreciate the value that Parkland College [Community Education] brings to our organization."
– Lisa Cheely

"I cannot emphasize enough how much our group enjoyed this exercise. Steve did a wonderful job leading us. Over the years we've brought in many speakers and trainers for different meetings and events. Parkland gave us a valuable teambuilding program at a fraction of the cost we had been spending."
– Teresa Kelnhofer, PHR, Vice President of Human Resources and Administration, Regency Consolidated Residential LLC

"Participating in the Leadership Certificate Series has given our staff a common language to use in talking about management and leadership issues. It has also helped us appreciate different styles of communication, arrive at shared expectations and improve team work. We’ve seen improvements in how some of our managers communicate with their teams and with one another. We definitely feel like the insights our staff bring back from these classes are creating a positive and lasting influence our culture."
– John Melchi

“Steve Welland did a great job explaining the materials provided for each individual course, while using examples and exercises to demonstrate how to implement each of the key actions.”
– Wade Lagle, Operations Supervisor, Urbana & Champaign Sanitary District
