Parkland Theatre to Host Fall Auditions for Mac Beth and Zombie Prom
Champaign, Ill. --- Parkland Theatre will hold auditions for its fall productions Mac Beth and Zombie Prom Saturday, August 26 at the Second Stage Theatre. Audition registration will take place in the theatre lobby, beginning at 10 a.m. Auditions for Mac Beth will be held 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Sides and scenes will be provided at parkland.edu/auditions and on the day of the auditions. Callbacks will begin immediately after auditions at 3:30 p.m.
Director Mathew Green is casting six to eight female-presenting roles for Mac Beth. Due to the mature content of the material, the director requests no actors under the age of 18 audition for the roles. Mac Beth performances will take place in Parkland Theatre's Second Stage September 28-October 8.
Auditions for the 50's style musical Zombie Prom will also take place Saturday, August 26 from 10 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sides and scenes will be provided at parkland.edu/auditions. People auditioning for the musical will need to be prepared to perform a song.
Zombie Prom Director Jacob Deters is casting ten to 18 roles between the ages of high school to 50 years old. Callbacks will be held Sunday, August 27, noon to 4 p.m. with sides and scenes provided.
Performances for Zombie Prom will take place in Parkland's Harold and Jean Miner Theatre November 9 through 19.
All members of the community, including Parkland College and University of Illinois students, are invited to audition. Parkland Theatre encourages diversity.
