Each semester Parkland holds DEGREE COMPLETION DAY to help students find out everything they need to know about the graduation process. Do your parents have credits from Parkland but never completed a degree? You ALL could join us for Degree Completion Day, Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Union (U building) to find out what's needed to finish. Degree Completion Day might be an easy way to make your schedule for the rest of your college journey through student planning. Whether you're "so close" to your certificate or new to campus, this event is for you: Counseling Services advisors will be available to check your progress. Financial Aid will be there to let you know if you might qualify for a Pell Grant. Petition to Graduate applications will be available, if you'll earn your degree this spring, summer, or fall. Student Life will be on hand with information about commencement. Refreshments, fun activities, and WPCD-FM live streaming will be part of the fun! Perimeter Road Music Festival Arts and Sciences, Automotive, Campus Life, Clubs and Organizations, Community Engagement, Fine and Applied Arts, Music Perimeter Road Music Festival Enjoy great music acts from across Champaign-Urbana May 4 Monday, April 8, 2019 Ruthie Counter | 0 Perimeter Road Sound Recordings, the student-staffed music record label here at Parkland College, is hosting the first-ever annual Perimeter Road Music Festival this May 4th! This free-admission, all-ages event is packed with great music acts from across Champaign-Urbana as well as featured artists signed to our record label, Perimeter Road Sound Recordings. In conjunction with the annual Parkland Motorsport Club Car Show, the Perimeter Road Music Festival will have a variety of food trucks to keep festival goers happy and well-fed. In addition, booths and tables hosted by various student-run clubs and organizations will be nearby, allowing anyone visiting the festival to learn more about what Parkland College has to offer. The festival will take place from noon to 7 pm Saturday, May 4 in the Parkland College B1 parking lot. You could both come to Degree Completion Day, Wednesday Oct. 3 from 9:30 to 1:30 in the U building and find out what’s needed to finish. Perhaps you’re just “this close" to a certificate. Counselors will be available to check your success. Financial Aid will be there to let you know if you might qualify for a Pell Grant. If you think you will finish in fall or spring, we will have Graduation Petitions for you to submit to Admissions, and you can find out what the commencement ceremony is all about.
