About Us

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is an ongoing learning system that facilitates and enhances quality teaching, student learning, and excellence in the workplace. It empowers professionals to address challenges while fostering the scholarship of teaching and student service.

The Center for Excellence offers multiple options for participants to learn more about teaching, learning, and workplace issues. Programming is designed in response to faculty and staff requests, and incorporates classical and useful learning theories based on solid research. Sessions are facilitated by faculty and staff. The delivery options vary in modes of time commitment in order to best meet the needs of a busy College. All participation in Center sponsored activities is voluntary - and the participation numbers prove that Parkland faculty and staff are committed to staying on the front lines of teaching and workplace excellence.
