Construction Management

build your future

Do you like to dream big? Are you fascinated by how things are built?

The construction manager (CM) is an integral member of the professional team responsible for the safe, successful completion of construction projects. CMs enjoy well-paying jobs on construction sites overseeing the build and communicating with the project superintendent, architect, and engineer, as needed. The job balances direct, on-site supervision with the office responsibilities required of complex construction projects. Do you want to direct construction projects that will serve your community for decades? Construction Management is the career for you!

Parkland's two-year associate in applied science degree prepares graduates to work side-by-side with engineers and architects as professional problem-solvers. The CM wears many hats and they can expect to spend part of each day as the business manager, technical expert, cost estimator, liaison to the owner, supervisor, and logistician.
