Students age 16-17 must have proof of withdrawal from high school prior to registration.

English-language (ESL) students may skip to Step 3: Schedule an Assessment if you need help with Steps 1 & 2.

Step 1: Complete Parkland College Adult Education Intake Form.

Step 2: Complete Parkland Application

Returning students from last year may skip this step. New students will receive an email with instructions when they finish Step 1. 

Step 3: Complete Assessment (in person or online).

Office staff will send you a link to schedule your assessment or you may contact the office after completing steps 1 & 2

English-language (ESL) students may schedule their assessments here, by phone, or emailing Adult Education. 

Note: Adult Education & Workforce Development provides free classes to citizens, permanent residents, refugees, undocumented residents, green card holders, or people with certain visas (H 1-4, DV1, or K3).  International students or those who hold cultural exchange or tourist visas should apply to Parkland College international admissions.

Step 4: Meet your instructor (online or in-person) and start class!

 *If you are less than 18 years old: Students must be at least 16 years of age.  Students age 16-17 must provide proof in writing from the last school they attended that states they are no longer enrolled . Ask your previous school to email us the letter, or you may contact us for help. You may not schedule your assessment until we have this letter
