The Early School Leaver Transition Program at Parkland College (ESLTP) prepares learners for job and college skills. During the FREE 8-week class session, students complete a career portfolio, tour college campuses, and gain valuable life skills. Students are enrolled in both course work and career experience.

The ESLTP is a program supported by the Illinois Community College Board and is free for out-of-school youth. The program focuses on career and college preparation. To participate, students must have a 9th-grade reading level and be enrolled in a high school completion program.
Community organizations and businesses located in Parkland College District 505 contribute to the community by providing employment and volunteer opportunities for ESLTP students. These work placements provide real-world experience in a myriad of different careers. Thank you to the employers and agencies who have provided work experiences for ESLTP youth.
