Program Requirements

In order to successfully obtain a CDL, individuals must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug screening. Learners must be able to read and write the English language. Additional requirements are listed below:

  • 18 years or older
  • Must meet DOT medical requirements
  • Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license
  • Must have a certified birth certificate OR provide proof of legal residency
  • Must provide a copy of their court version Motor Vehicle Record (Driver's Abstract)
  • No outstanding tickets or child support
  • Felonies and misdemeanors are evaluated on a case by case basis

*High school diploma or GED is not required to obtain your CDL
