Parkland Trustees Take First Look at Cobra Pathfinder

The Board convened for their regular meeting Wednesday

Ahead of their regular meeting Wednesday, Parkland Trustees received a first-hand look at the Cobra Pathfinder, Parkland's new mobile education unit for students, educators, and members of District 505 as a practical way to explore a variety of career opportunities and educational pathways.

Trustees also received the President's regular report, along with legislative and financial updates from college leadership. 

In other business, Trustees approved the following:

  • the contract with Carle Hospital for athletic training room and event coverage, $31,830
  • the purchase of:
    • furniture and installation, Krueger International, Green Bay, Wis., $50,000
    • storage system furnishings and installation, Krueger International of Green Bay, Wis, $30,972
    • LenelS2 Software Upgrade, Support Plan license and service hours, Bennett Electronic Service Co, Inc., Pontiac, Ill., $55,520
  • the filing of grant applications:
    • Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE): FY26 Illinois Cooperative Work Study (ICWS)
    • Caterpillar Foundation: Faculty Development and Accelerated Student Completion
  • personnel appointments and modifications:
    • Joshua Bubniak, IT Project Manager, Campus Technologies
    • Charles Evans, Flight Instructor, Aviation
    • Derek Fletcher, Public Safety Officer, Public Safety
    • Matt Hidder, Technical Support Specialist, Campus Technologies
