Guests acknowledged three decades of the program's excellence, innovation, and teamwork
The Parkland College Foundation celebrated 30 years of success of the Ford ASSET program on Friday, April 4.
Guests acknowledged three decades of the program's excellence, innovation, and teamwork at the Parkhill Applied Technology Center at Parkland College.
Parkland Vice President for Academic Services Nancy Sutton, Ford ASSET program director David Charney, and others made remarks at the event. Guests then spent time visiting the shop and vehicles.
The Ford Automotive Student Service Education Training (ASSET), a two-year Ford technical career entry program, includes a paid internship and results in an Associate in Applied Science in Automotive Service Technology from Parkland College. Graduates can enter the workforce as entry-level service technicians with the same Ford Motor Company certifications a person can earn at a Ford training center.
