ETC: New Food Service Vendor Opens Tuesday

Parkland College has announced the grand opening of its new cafe, Eats, Treats, and Catering (ETC), in the Student Union cafeteria.

Parkland College today announced the grand opening of its new cafe, Eats, Treats, and Catering (ETC), in the Student Union cafeteria.

The ETC menu offers a variety of options including breakfast items, burgers, pizza, sandwiches, wraps, a salad bar, and sides including potato salad, house-fried chips, fruit cup, yogurt parfait, and more. The global weekly menu for its first week includes the following:

  • Sept. 3: Al pastor tacos with choice of toppings, elotes, and churros with dipping sauce
  • Sept. 4: Pasta with a choice of house-made marinara or Bolognese sauce; Roasted parmesan broccoli; garlic butter breadsticks
  • Sept. 5: Authentic jambalaya with smoked sausage and shrimp, brown sugar glazed carrots, and fresh baked cornbread
  • Sept 6: Italian beef sandwich with toppings such as provolone cheese and pepperoncini, parmesan potato wedges, and made-to-order Caesar salad


According to its website, ETC is dedicated to "delivering exceptional dining experiences through fresh, flavorful meals and attentive service" and to  "quality ingredients and diverse menu options."

In July, Parkland College Board of Trustees approved ETC as the new food service provider for Parkland College through May 31, 2027. ETC replaces Hendrick House, Inc., which had operated at the campus since 2018.

Hours of operation for ETC at Parkland are 7 a.m.– 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. More information about ETC can be found online.
