Staerkel Planetarium Laser Shows Return with New Music

See matinée, evening shows with music by Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, more

Expect to hear a new lineup of pop songs later this month when the William M. Staerkel Planetarium brings back its laser shows to the dome following a hiatus.

On the weekends of October 21-22 and October 27-28, new matinee and evening laser shows will feature music from popular artists including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Prince, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and Queen. These two weekends prior to Halloween will also shine lasers set to Halloween-themed music across the dome; opening weekend begins on October 20 with a Halloween Spooktacular at 6:30 p.m. Additionally, visitors can view the Staerkel Planetarium's latest fall lineup of shows this month, including Coyote Explores the Earth, Moon, and Sun and Solar System Safari. A full list of fall shows with show times is available at parkland.edu/planetariumcalendar. If a group would like to book a laser show for a private event, contact the Staerkel Planetarium for pricing options. For ticket information or to plan a trip to the Staerkel Planetarium, visit parkland.edu/planetarium for the show schedule or call 217/351-2446.
