Parkland College Dean Wins College Administrator Award

Parkland Dean of Learning Support Derrick Baker recognized

Parkland College's Dean of Learning Support Derrick Baker has been recognized as a Distinguished College Administrator by the Phi Theta Kappa international honor society.

Recipients of the award are vice presidents, deans, or directors serving at post-secondary institutions who have shown strong support of student success on their campus by recognizing the accomplishments of high-achieving students. Nominations were provided by students on their campus. Baker has served at Parkland College since 2008.

Awards will be distributed during PTK Catalyst 2020, PTK Honor Society's annual convention, on April 2-4 in the greater Dallas area in Texas.

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of the two-year college.
