Parkland College Continues Upward Trend in Enrollment
This year's report includes head count, full-time equivalency, and more
Fall 2025 enrollment at Parkland College reflects strong momentum, with increases in continuing and in-district students, according to the college's official 10th-day enrollment report.
The report reveals a total of 6,355 students in head count, a 5.7% increase over fall 2024, and a total of 3,703 students in full-time equivalency, a 4.3% increase over last year.
“When students enroll, they begin a journey toward new opportunities.” said Parkland President Pamela Lau. "It's encouraging to see this increasing demand for the high-quality education and student experiences we offer here at Parkland, which lead to more job placement and workforce development opportunities in District 505 and beyond.”
The enrollment report also saw a 13% increase in continuing students, showing student persistence semester to semester. Of those enrolled, 76.8% of students are from in-district, compared to 75.8% in fall 2024, a 7% increase.
"We are proud to see continued growth in our enrollment," said Dean of Enrollment Kristin Smigielski. “The momentum we have seen in recent years reflects the college’s commitment to academic excellence, student success, and our role as a vital contributor to the communities we serve.”
Additionally, the report shows an increase in University of Illinois concurrent students over this time last year and continued strong enrollment numbers for both Early College Career Academy and international students.
