A strong partnership
Parkland College and the University of Illinois have shared students for many years. Because of this strong partnership, the process of transferring Parkland credits to the U of I is easy and smooth.

Each year 1,800+ University of Illinois students take classes at Parkland. Sometimes popular U of I classes are full, and taking the class at Parkland helps students not to have to delay the class another semester or year. Online classes are very popular with U of I students as well. We also offer late-start and classes that run the first or second eight weeks of the semester.

Tuition costs
Domestic (non-international) students currently attending the University of Illinois may take Parkland classes at the in-district rate of $164.00 per credit hour for both on-campus and online classes in Tier 1 and $245.50 for on-campus and online classes in Tier 2 (class prefix: AFM, CNH, DHG, LPN, NUR, OTA, RTT, SUR, VTT, XRA).

BOOST YOUR ILLINOIS DEGREE WITH PARKLAND CREDITS

Sometimes you can't get in all the courses you need during the regular school year. For Brent, that has meant taking Spanish and economics classes over the summers, and Parkland College has proven to be a great choice for transferring these course credits back to the U of I.

"Parkland classes give me individual attention for challenging subjects; my instructors know me by name," Brent says. "Transferring my Parkland credits eases the fi nancial stress of college and helps me earn my U of I degree faster. I plan on fi nishing my language requirement with another class at Parkland this fall."
