What you’ll do:
Gain strong skills in criminal justice, with AAS degree course work in law enforcement, psychology, sociology, and communication skills. Receive an on-the-job internship with one of several approved criminal justice agencies; some of these internships are paid. Completing the AA degree allows you to transfer as a junior into approved baccalaureate degree programs in criminal justice and related majors.

Where you’ll go:
With your AAS degree, you can work in industry or government positions such as municipal, state, and county law enforcement agencies, the private security field, and the military. After a period of field work, take promotion exams to become a detective or specialize in K-9, crime scene investigation, SWAT, drug task force, or other specialty areas.
