Search for hearing courses that will receive course equivalents for the units by the HCS prefix in the
Course Listing. Parkland does not offer the course only course equivalents.
What you need to do to get started:
First: To apply for an Illinois Department of Public Health license as a hearing instrument dispenser, you must complete specific training by completing 30 learning units. Second: Become a Parkland College Non-Degree seeking student using the online application process.
Third: Send to Parkland College in care of Sandy Sauer the certificate of completion of the 30 units or FAX it 217/373-3681
Fourth: You will be registered into the courses equivalent to the units, a grade of Satisfactory will be awarded.
Fifth: Once the tuition is paid for the 4 courses which is 12 credits times the in-state tuition rate per credit hour, you may request transcripts to be sent to your home.
Sixth: It is your responsibility to FAX or mail the Parkland College transcript noting the course equivalents to Illinois Department of Public Health FAX 217/557-5324
