Graphic Design AAS


What you’ll do:
Learn to inform, motivate, engage, and entertain an audience through visual communication. Train for careers in marketing, communication, advertising, and related design fields. Your course work will cover principles of design, creative problem solving, art/design history, drawing and typography, with portfolio building studio courses that enable you to put theory to practice. Create digital art for print and the Web. Our program offers two concentrations: Design and Illustration: Design is recommended for students interested in visual communication for print/Web, while Illustration is recommended for students interested in creating pictorial art for marketing communication. A commitment to drawing and digital media is required.

Where you’ll go:
Put your talent and new skills to work in various design-related industries and fields, including graphic design firms, publishing, advertising, media/printing/editing, animation, or web design/development. You may also choose to do freelance work, or pursue a bachelor’s degree in art and design, web design, advertising, or related majors.
