How to Hire Interns
Forward your employment listing or a completed Employment Fact Sheet to the CSIT office. We will email your listing to CSIT students and faculty and post it on our job board. This service specifically targets students enrolled in Parkland CSIT coursework
Posting your position with the Parkland College Career Center is another option. This service targets all Parkland students and graduates, not just those in Computer Sciences and Information Technology.
How do Internships Work?
Students in our A.A.S. programs must fulfill a 225 hour internship requirement prior to graduation. For some students, the internship is their final semester of study. Others complete their internship while finishing their last semester of coursework.
In order to use their work experience at your organization to fulfill their internship requirement, students will ask you to sign a Training Agreement. They will receive approval and academic supervision from a faculty Internship Supervisor.
Interns will periodically ask you to sign a CSIT Intern Time Sheet that records the hours and type of work or tasks accomplished.
At the conclusion of 225 hours, interns will ask you to complete the Employer Evaluation or an Employer Evaluation for Office Professionals
CSIT Students are responsible for returning all completed documents to their faculty supervisor.
