John is currently a Captain with the Champaign Fire Department where he has served for over 22 years.He started his fire service career as a volunteer with the St. Joseph-Stanton Fire Protection District in 1990 where he served for 5 years.John has been a paramedic for 27 years and has worked for Arrow Ambulance and for Air Life as a flight medic.He has been heavily involved in the professional development program at Champaign Fire and is one of the lead instructors for Incident Command and high-rise firefighting operations.John has been married to his wife Beth for 19 years and is a father to triplet girls.
