I graduated from Michigan StateUniversity’s Veterinary Technology program. I have been in the veterinaryprofession for 35 years. I have worked in small animal practices including anemergency clinic, a practice that was 25% avian, and a corporately ownedpractice. I have held many positions including LVT/CVT, Technician Supervisor,Regional Trainer, Hospital Coordinator, Practice Manager, and now AssociateProfessor and Program Director. I completed my Bachelor of Applied Sciencedegree in 2009 and went on to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager in2010. I completed my Master of Education and Leadership degree from theUniversity of Illinois Springfield in 2019.

Over the years my passion hasalways been training, teaching, and helping other technicians increase theirknowledge and skills. I am honored to be the director of a VeterinaryTechnology Program established 42 years ago which has a reputation forproducing outstanding graduate technicians. I am contacted several times eachmonth by employers looking to hire our graduates. When I visit veterinaryhospitals across the state of Illinois, I hear the praises of how well educatedand trained our graduates are.
