Free Basic Computer Skills Lab at Illinois workNet

Free training on how to operate a computer, search web, more

Parkland College Adult Education will host free computer skills training classes for those with little or no knowledge of how to operate a computer or use this technology in daily life.

The Basic Computer Skills Lab will take place Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Illinois workNet, 1307 N. Mattis Ave., Champaign, starting mid-April. A skilled instructor will guide participants through basic computer activities, from turning on the computer and operating the mouse to performing keyboard functions and conducting web searches. These classes have been developed in response to requests from community members and the trend of employers to turn online for their hiring needs.

For more information or to sign up for this lab, please contact Parkland Adult Education at 217/351-2580.
