STUDENT ID'S
Parkland College ID cards are issued to all new students during initial registration.
It is each student's responsibility to obtain a Parkland ID card. All that is required is a picture ID, such as a state
ID or a driver's license, and proof of enrollment in classes. The card does not expire and is valid each time the student registers.
There is no charge for the first card, however, a $5.00 fee for the first three replacement
cards and a $15.00 fee for the fourth and up replacement cards is billed to the student's account.
The student should carry the Parkland ID at all times. Why should you have a Parkland ID? You will need it:

- To present for identification when asked
- To pick up a student loan, grant, or student employment checks
- To check out materials and equipment in the Library
- For business and financial aid transactions including book vouchers
- To vote in student elections and petition to run for office
- To use a computer lab
- For free admission to athletic events
- To get discounts on Parkland theatre and planetarium tickets
- To obtain discount rates for field trips and tours
- For entry into the Fitness Center and some Physical Education classes
- To petition to graduate
- For book buy back at the Parkland Bookstore
- To take certain licensing or assessment tests
- To cash a $10 personal check at the cashier's office (it will cost you a quarter)
