Sanil Mathew’s biggest dream is to become a software engineer and to have a job in an MNC (Multiple National Company). Winning the Community College Initiative Program (CCIP) scholarship at Parkland College will help him to make his dream come true.
He also wants to open a non-governmental organization (NGO) in his country in which he can help people by providing pre-education for their children.
Sanil enjoys studying at Parkland because it has a good team of professors "who are expert in their field and willing to help students regarding their studies." Studying at Parkland also helps him understand his skills and improve his knowledge about his field of study.
“To remain in the IT field, it is necessary to update my knowledge according to the new technology,” he said. “I can get this update at Parkland.”
Sanil said he is glad that he had a chance to experience the American educational system. "The American system is more flexible than the Indian educational system; it is designed such a way that almost everyone can pass college. It also has a good grading system in which students can track their grades," he said.
When he finishes his studies at Parkland College, Sanil plans to go back to India and to get a better job.
